Maine landscape painting

Okay, I'm still gonna do the anatomy stuff, but I wanted to knock this out for a family member first. It's a landscape from coastal Maine. Macmahan Island to be exact.

I tried using some new techniques, as well as a mix of Painter and Photoshop.

Been slacking the last few days, but I've got new stuff coming tomorrow! I'm going to do a series on human and animal anatomy to sharpen up the skillset.

Just an explanation of the "1HR" in case it isn't clear, that's a painting I've done within an hour time frame as an exercise to quickly identify important details and lock in overall shapes/proportions.

I plan on doing some more detailed paintings in the near future that I will spend a bit more time on making pretty. My goal is to have something new up as close to every day as possible. Thanks for checking the blog out!
